FAQ

What is XNDR Network?

XNDR Network is an ecosystem of applications for creating, exploring, and using onchain ALX Blocks.

What is the Block Explorer?

The Block Explorer is the application that indexes and displays qualifying ALX Blocks.

What can I do in the Block Explorer?

Look up a Block by its complete blockHash or contentHash, then follow its parents and children. The Block Explorer reads Blocks but never creates or changes them.

What is an ALX Block?

An ALX Block holds JSON-compatible content, has two identifying hashes (contentHash and blockHash), and can declare earlier Blocks as parents.

How are Block relationships determined?

A Block declares its own parents. A Block’s children are the Blocks in the selected scope that name that Block as a parent.

How do I interpret an unavailable relationship?

The Block on the other end is not indexed in the selected scope but may still exist elsewhere.

What does source scope mean?

A source scope is a named, versioned set of configured sources. The Block Explorer reports availability, children, and completeness for the selected scope only.

How current is XNDR Network data?

Each response shows the index revision, the latest observation time, and completeness for the selected scope. The data is a snapshot, not a live feed or a record of every ALX Block.

What does XNDR Network verify?

XNDR Network checks each Block’s identity, schema, and declared lineage against ALX Protocol rules. Lineage shows not-checked when its parents are not indexed, and no check proves authorship, ownership, or truth.

How do I integrate with XNDR Network?

Use the read-only REST API from your server to get JSON. No key is needed, and an operator-issued key raises your rate limit. See the Developer Guide for a first request.
